You will find the most current firmware for the batcorder 3.0 and batcorder 3.1 for download. In addition we publish the change history for the former firmwares. The most current firmware always includes all earlier changes, thus installation of the latest firmware installs all former updates automatically. Please see update instructions in the batcorder manual or in this pdf document.

  • Display contrast can be set using keys Light + Settings
  • Logfile entries "External battery low. Switched to internal power." & "Switched back to external power." are now with timestamp.

  • Using extension4 with a 12V battery while in wind turbine mode may lead to a reboot after TSL measurements and stopping in settingas mode instead of scanning.
  • When in scanning mode using an external battery without extension the switch from external to internal and back to external power may result in a batcorder shutdown.

  • When used with extension module the batcorder 3 can hang if no cell tower is in range of the SIM card. The timer will thus be not active anymore.

  • Logfile header was updated to reflect if logfile version and device firmware are different.
  • Some SMS messages were optimized

Solved

  • For some SD cards formatting took an hour or longer.
  • If external battery was too empty when starting up the device a new folder for the daily recordings was not created, files were saved in the cards root directory.
