EOSound

A small yet powerful sound analysis app not focusing on bat calls but allowing analysis of other nature sounds as well. Focus of this app is to have a tool as simple as possible with nevertheless high end sonagram display. It is available for macOS and iPadOS for free via the App Store. It does work with bat call recordings, but not as specialized as for example bcAnalyze. More information on EOSound.

If you are owning an external USB ultrasound microphone like the Petterrson m384 you may want to consider trying ecoBatRec in the app store. It is available for macOS as well as for iOS and offers live sonagram display and heterodyne mode. It was designed using modern and highly optimized libraries for sonagram creation and thus has a very low power consumption. The free version offers basic operation and a pro subscription adds useful features like saving of recordings and customization of sonagram display. Learn more about it.

bcCallsCollector Icon

bcCallsCollector

This app creates an archive of all bcCalls files (created when using the call finder in bcAdmin) within a subfolder tree. These files are used by bcAdmin for display of calls and for CoreML based identification. The archive can be injected into a folder subtree, this way if two persons work on the same data, one can share the call finder results as well as the database with a second person. That way you can have identical data on two Macs.

BirdWeatherStationMac

dWeatherStationMac is a bat unrelated application. If you own a BirdWeatherPUc or run a BirdPinet station, this app allows you to browse data uploaded by your station to BirdWeather website. The app comes as is, without documentation or support. Both is really not needed, since the app is self-explanatory and easy to use.

EcoCSV Icon

EcoCSV

EcoCSV is a small, lightweight yet powerful CSV editor. It was designed to work with SCADA csv files and other csv files from data loggers. You can choose an entry type for columns like number, string or timestamp. It can calculate simple statistics for number columns and features export to various formats of csv.
